Today, I had the opportunity to visit Goodmayes Station, a place I frequent regularly, to engage with Transport for London (TfL) staff and understand their concerns following a recent stabbing incident. It was crucial for me to hear directly from the frontline workers who ensure the smooth operation of our public transport system.

During my visit, I listened attentively to the concerns raised by TfL staff regarding safety protocols, staffing levels, and access to adequate support systems. Their dedication to their work and the community they serve is commendable, and it’s imperative that they feel valued and protected in their roles.

In the coming days, I will be engaging with TfL officials to raise these concerns and advocate for the implementation of enhanced safety measures at Goodmayes Station and across the TfL network.

Together, let us work towards creating a safer and more secure environment for all commuters and transport workers.
