I am calling on all primary school children aged 3 -11 across Ilford South to take part in my annual ‘Design A Christmas Card Competition’ for 2023. Last year we received phenomenal designs and I was blown away with the talent and creativity shown by our young Ilford South primary school children.
This year, we are going with the theme of ‘’What does Christmas mean to you?’’
The winning design will be used as my official Christmas card for 2023. The winner will have their name and school printed on the front of the card and will also be invited to parliament to meet me and receive a tour of parliament. There will be two runners-up who will each receive a certificate of participation.
The winning design will be sent to every primary school in Ilford South and to a host of people including Parliamentarians, local councillors, residents, businesses, local community groups and churches.
All designs should be hand drawn with colouring pencils, crayons, felt-tips pens or paint. Please do not use glitter, sequins, or digital artwork.
Please note that all entrants should print and use the attached Christmas card competition entry form template, to draw their design and write their details. There will only be one entry per child. Download the entry form here:
Entries can be posted to me individually by parents or via participating schools to my Ilford South Constituency office address below:
Sam Tarry MP

Alternatively, a clear digital photograph or a scanned copy of the entry form can be emailed to:

Please use the subject heading ‘’Christmas card competition 2023’’.
The deadline for all entries is Friday, 24th November, at 5pm. The winners will be announced shortly after.
I hope your school will take up this festive challenge and that the children have fun in designing their entries and exploring their creative talents.
I look forward to seeing your wonderful designs!
