This week I enjoyed talking about politics and the unfolding situation in Pakistan with local party members and activists who stopped by to update me, and I was really honoured to meet so many business owners, who are working hard to get our local economy booming again in Ilford, including our growing Italian-Bengali community. It was especially fascinating to meet a Bengali war veteran who was a former senior political activist and share stories with him.
