I was delighted to speak at the fantastic Ilford Community Initiative – a new platform for our growing British Bangladeshi population in Ilford.

Built from the grassroots up, with women, young people, and community elders all playing their part to create a network that strengthens, educates, and most importantly tackles, social justice issues affecting the community.

It was so good to see so many friends and supporters – and draw on the wealth of experience of international caterers, transport workers, lawyers, health care workers, educators, and so much more.
I even bumped into my old neighbour from Regent Gardens in Seven Kings where I grew up!
I wish Ilford Community Initiative all the best with its next successful endeavour.
