I was delighted to celebrate with the Disabled Asian Women’s Network (DAWN) in Ilford, at their Masala Tea Party in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee.
DAWN has built a fantastic community over the past 30 years and they managed not to laugh too much at my terrible dancing! The food was fantastic and the welcome even warmer.
A huge thanks to DAWN’s Project Manager, Neelam, and Chairwoman Harsha, for inviting me along to take part. It was also the first function for our new Redbridge Mayor Councillor Thavathuray Jeyaranjan! Congratulations, Mayor Jeyaranjan on your appointment.
