Today, I had the privilege of visiting the RAMFEL food bank at the Cardinal Heenan Centre, and it was truly heartening to see the incredible support they provide to asylum seekers and migrants in our community.

Every Thursday from 10am to 1pm, the dedicated team at RAMFEL runs the food bank, ensuring that those in need have access to essential resources. Their commitment to serving vulnerable populations is both admirable and inspiring.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with the organisers, learning more about their work and the impact they have on the lives of individuals and families in our community. Their dedication and compassion were evident, and it was clear that they play a vital role in providing much-needed support to those facing hardship.

As we navigate challenging times, initiatives like the RAMFEL food bank serve as beacons of hope, reminding us of the power of community and solidarity. I am grateful for the opportunity to witness their incredible work firsthand and extend my heartfelt thanks to the organisers for their unwavering commitment to supporting our community.

Let us continue to come together to uplift and empower those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
