It was a pleasure to welcome the Redbridge Welfare Association to Parliament this week. This dedicated organisation plays a pivotal role in serving the Bangladeshi community in Ilford South, offering invaluable support and assistance.

During our meeting, we engaged in meaningful discussions about pressing global issues, including the situation in Gaza. It was heartening to see members of the association actively participating in these conversations, demonstrating their commitment to broader humanitarian concerns.

Additionally, we addressed the challenges facing private hire vehicle (PHV) drivers, recognising the importance of advocating for their rights and fair treatment within the industry.
