In July, the Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps, boasted to the House of Commons that 900 zero-emission buses were in production “right now”. Now, he says “the funding was made available” and fails to confirm how many have been built.
I have written to Grant Shapps for answers because something here doesn’t add up.
